Commonly known as the Dwarf Palmetto and the Blue Palm. The Dwarf Palmetto is a cold hardy palm, zone 7 b and warmer. Although some people argue that it is hardier than one may think, cases have been reported of this plam surviving up to negative 5 degrees with little or no damage. This palm likes sun to partial shade (light shade). It is grown mostly for its foilage. The leaves are shiny and blue-green and it does flower. The flowers are fragrant and white to near white.
